      In this talk, I will review the physical processes which are responsible of generation and evolution of laser-induced plasma. The characteristics of such plasma as the emission source for laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) will then be presented. I will present the advanced LIBS setup that we have developed. The applications of LIBS for elemental detection and analysis of different materials will then be illustrated through several examples. I will conclude the talk by pointing out some research and development directions that we are following to push the maturity and the widespread applications of the LIBS technique as a promising analytical technique.  

  报告人简介: 

     俞进,上海交通大学讲席教授,法国里昂第一大学教授,上海千人计划专家。上世纪八十年代末巴黎第六大学获博士学位后,他先后从事激光原子离子冷却,及超强超快激光脉冲在大气中传播物理和应用研究。近十年来从事LIBS研究和技术开发,发表该方面文章50余 篇。目前是欧洲及世界LIBS大会科学顾问委员会成员,第九届世界LIBS大会主席。
