  报告摘要:The exponentially increased amount of annual data consumption of human beings has constantly challenged current data traffic and data storage techniques, which has compelled the ongoing technical innovations for energy-efficient information technologies with ultrahigh capacities and high throughputs. In this regard, optical multiplexing in the physical parameter of light has been playing important role in optical information applications such as optical data storage, data security, information communications and biological probes. The emerging nanophotonic approaches offer the physical platform for tailoring light matter interaction at the nanoscale with unprecedentedly flexibility in controlling light. In this paper, we integrate the recent development of nanocomposites with optical multiplexing through encoding multiple states of information in the polarization, phase and angular momentum of light for high capacity information technologies. 

    

    

  报告人简介: 

  Dr. Xiangping Li graduated from the Centre for Micro-Photonics, Swinburne University of Technology in 2009. His research interests over the nanophotonics for ultrahigh capacity optical storage, multi-dimensional optical recording, three-dimensional display and surface plasmon polaritons. Dr. Li has produced more than 50 internationally referred journal papers including Science, Nature Photonics and Nature Communications. Dr. Li is also a recipient of numerous competitive awards including ARC APD fellow in 2011, Victoria Fellowship in 2013, ARC DECRA fellow in 2014, China’s Young 1000 talent and Distinguished Young Scholars from NNSFC in 2015. In 2015, he joined the Institute of Photonics Technology in Jinan University and set up a new team working on the nanophotonic devices.
